NOW® Vitamin D capsules  provide this critical vitamin in a highly absorbable, liquid form. Vitamin D helps maintain healthy bones and teeth and proper calcium levels in the blood. Supports the proper functioning of muscles and the immune system. The body normally obtains vitamin D from food or produces it (synthesis) in the skin under the influence of ultraviolet radiation from the sun. However, in the summer, this synthesis is limited due to the use of cosmetics with UV filters and it is recommended for older people and pregnant women to avoid excessive exposure to the sun. In autumn and winter, synthesis is limited due to reduced sunlight. In people over 65 years of age, a decrease in the skin synthesis of vitamin D is also observed.

How to use:  Take 1 capsule daily with food.
