Food supplement
Reduced L-glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide consisting of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine, which is found in every cell of the human body. However, after fermentation, the product is 100% pure material existing only as glutathione
L-Glutathione OPITAC™ is produced in Japan, through a fermentation process using torula yeast (Candida utilis).
Torula yeast is deactivated yeast that has been heat treated - the so-called "killed by heat" and can no longer produce carbon dioxide or reproduce.
Deactivated yeast is popular among vegans and vegetarians. They are an important source of B vitamins. They have a strong taste, described as nutty, cheesy or creamy, without bitterness. This feature makes Torula yeast a popular ingredient in cheese substitutes, often used by vegans.
Torula yeast extract is a rich source of glutathione.
The manufacturer of OPITAC™ glutathione, the Japanese company KOHJIN Life Sciences, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation Life Sciences, was one of the first laboratories to draw attention to the importance of L-glutathione back in the 1960s, when it was first demonstrated benefits compared to the "first line of defense" against the harmful effects of toxins, including environmental pollutants, on the body.
OPITAC™ is the only glutathione in the world that has been notified to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a GRAS (food ingredient safety label). It's the result of over 50 years of peer-reviewed research and manufacturing processes that set the standard for all others.
OPITAC™ has halal and kosher certificates, which confirm quality, safety and universal use, proven for decades.
