Piper nigrum , or black pepper, is a great preventive measure - are you surprised? Yes, pepper is not only an addition to soups and salads. We import it from south-east India, where it grows naturally and most vigorously. Pepper vines there reach up to 15 m in length. It has a sharp, distinct taste. It tastes best freshly ground.

Black pepper warms and stimulates. Strongly affects the digestive system, Ayurvedic medicine recommends the use of black pepper in the treatment of diarrhea, food poisoning and indigestion.

It also has a diaphoretic effect, which probably each of us has experienced at least once in our lives, when the pepper pot tilted too much over the soup ... Black pepper opens the pores of the skin, thus facilitating the secretion of sweat. This makes it helpful in the initial stage of colds.

The sharpness of black pepper also benefits the lungs. Frequent use of pepper is a prophylaxis against viral infections such as colds.

Freshly ground black pepper on top of soups, sauces, sandwiches, salads. Also, add it to black tea or bulletproof coffee.

OUR ADVICE

"Coarsely ground fresh black pepper crunching under the teeth - doesn't that sound wonderful? Once you try it, you won't go back to pepper with the consistency of flour. Or at least we don't like it, so we always have a travel pepper mill with us."
