Turmeric belongs to the ginger family. We use its rhizome, in this case dried and ground ( Curcuma Longa ). We import it from India, where it grows naturally.

Turmeric is widely used in Ayurvedic medicine and natural healing due to curcumin, its active ingredient with anti-inflammatory, stimulating, antibacterial properties. Turmeric is also used to accelerate wound healing, as well as to purify the blood and speed up metabolism.

It is also known for its oriental cuisine. Curcumin is the active compound in turmeric powder, which is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, among other things. The yellow color of curcumin and turmeric powder is due to curcuminoids.

We add turmeric to all cooked dishes, to sauces, soups, scrambled eggs, all one-pot dishes, but also to coffee, golden milk and ginger soup. It is worth sprinkling herpes on the lips with it and, mixed with honey, smear the wound until it heals.

Turmeric is versatile, so you should always have it with you.
