Astaxanthin is a water-insoluble carotenoid pigment classified as a xanthophyll. Astaxanthin's red color is due to the presence of a conjugated double bond system. Like other carotenoids, astaxanthin absorbs UV rays and visible light.

The polar groups at both ends of its long chain give astaxanthin the unique ability to stretch through the entire lipid bilayer, thereby scavenging reactive oxygen species on both sides of the cell membrane. In terms of antioxidant properties, astaxanthin is several dozen times more potent than vitamins C, E, or β-carotene.

Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction is a method that allows obtaining plant extracts of high purity (there is no need to use chemical solvents and extractants).

The advantage of using carbon dioxide in supercritical extraction is the relatively low temperature at which CO2 reaches its critical point, meaning that, at the appropriate pressure, it becomes a highly diffusible fluid. Transitioning to the supercritical state at a temperature just above 31°C prevents the active substances in the extracts from degradation due to high temperatures. Carbon dioxide is readily available and safe, and the supercritical extraction process using it does not burden the environment with chemical post-reaction residues.

Its production infrastructure, including an organic Haematococcus pluvialis algae farm, is located on the mountain slopes near the Karkonosze National Park. Ingredients:  organic extra virgin olive oil, organic supercritical CO2 extract from organic Haematococcus pluvialis algae biomass, capsule shell: (binder: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose).

Recommended daily dose : 1 capsule daily with a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. This product should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are fundamental to the proper functioning of the body. This product should not be used by infants, children, or adolescents under 14 years of age, or if other food supplements containing astaxanthin esters are consumed on the same day.
