Thanks to the "Encapsulation" technology, the sodium butyrate is gradually released throughout the gastrointestinal tract, particularly in its distal parts. Sodium butyrate contains 80% butyric acid. Butyric acid belongs to the group of short-chain fatty acids. Under physiological conditions, it is produced in the large intestine by bacterial fermentation of dietary fiber.
