What is Chaga?

Chaga, or Inonotus obliquus, is a species of mushrooms growing on the trunks of deciduous trees, usually collected from birch bark. Although its natural range is a large part of the Northern Hemisphere, in many places the species is considered endangered due to the shrinking of natural habitat areas. One of the best preserved regions of occurrence are the pristine regions of Siberia in eastern Asia, where for many years Chaga mushrooms, in accordance with traditional recipes of folk medicine, have been used by the local population to prepare medicinal decoctions.

What is the chromogenic complex?

Each Chaga extract has a complex chemical composition, which consists of many different substances. however, only wild Chaga mushrooms contain the so-called chromogenic complex , i.e. a natural composition of humic acids and melanin.

Although the vast majority of extracts available on the market are standardized to polysaccharides, it is actually the chromogenic complex that is the essence of wild Chaga mushrooms. . Unprocessed, naturally growing Chaga mushroom contains approximately 15% of the chromogenic complex.

Where do we get our extract and what makes it unique?

Chaga mushrooms from which our extract is made are collected only from the bark of birches growing wild in sparsely populated and non-industrialized areas of Siberia.

Unlike many products available on the market obtained from cultivated mushrooms, our extract is based only on wild Chaga mushrooms, which ensures a full spectrum of active substances in natural proportions and a high content of the chromogenic complex (40%).
