Mito-Pharma Vitamin B12 MSE 250 mcg / 120 capsules
Food supplement
Methylated forms from Dr. Franz Enzmann
The preparation contains active (methylated) forms of vitamin B12 and folates (folic acid). In practice, this means that these substances do not have to undergo the methylation process, which in many people occurs with low efficiency, but is crucial for energy production and support of the nervous system.
Vitamin B12 in the company of other B vitamins
Vitamins B12, B6 and folate are cofactors in the important methylation process during which homocysteine is broken down. Each of them is needed to activate a different reaction and they must all be present together for the effectiveness of the entire metabolic process.
When is it worth using vitamin B12?
- In states of chronic fatigue and weariness, because vitamin B12 supports proper energy metabolism.
- In case of chronic stress, to support proper psychological functions and the functioning of the nervous system.
- In the case of elevated homocysteine levels, the proper level of which is helped to maintain by vitamin B12.
- To support the proper production of red blood cells.
- During periods of weakened immunity, vitamin B12 helps in the proper functioning of the immune system.
Vitamin B12 MSE is a product in which both the portion and the forms of vitamins guarantee high absorption.
The use of vitamin B12 in the form of methylcobalamin guarantees effective use.
To properly support methylation, methylcobalamin requires the active form of folic acid - methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), which is contained in the preparation in an amount of 400 μg.
High absorption of vitamin B12 is guaranteed by the following ingredients contained in the complex:
- vitamin B6 - 5 mg
- biotin - 500 µg
- methyltetrahydrofolic acid - 400 μg
In the case of complex preparations, it is very important to evenly distribute the substances in the capsule. This allows these substances to complement each other while maintaining 100% activity of each of them.
Vitamin B12 MSE 250 μg is a gluten-free product, does not contain cow's milk protein, soy, yeast, artificial flavors, dyes and preservatives.
The process of absorption of vitamin B12 in the form of cobalamin is very complicated and, above all, depends on the efficient functioning of the digestive system. In the event of disturbances in the functioning of the digestive system, there may be serious limitations in its absorption, leading to deficits of this substance in the body.
Moreover, in order for the body to use vitamin B12, it must convert it into its active form - methylcobalamin. This takes place in the methylation pathway, which determines the proper functioning of vitamin B12.
Methylcobalamin is a biologically active form of vitamin B12, which has a methyl group in its structure and therefore effectively supports methylation processes in the event of their incorrect course.
Vitamin B12 - a key substance in the body
Vitamin B12, as a cofactor of many enzymes, plays an important role in the process of energy metabolism. Together with vitamin B6 and folates (folic acid), it takes part in the process of homocysteine decomposition.
Vitamin B12 is important for the nervous system, maintaining proper mental functions and mental performance. Together with folates (folic acid), it participates in the regulation of the formation and maturation of red blood cells.
The main sources of vitamin B12 are primarily animal products - meat, fish, crustaceans, milk, cheese and eggs, hence reduced levels of vitamin B12 may occur in vegans and vegetarians.
Reduced vitamin B12 levels may also affect people with absorption disorders, the elderly or alcohol abusers.
That's why it's so important to include a good source of vitamin B12 in your diet.
