What is L-carnitine?

• Carnitine is a so-called vitamin-like substance, related to the B vitamins. Our body can synthesize it on its own from two amino acids: lysine and methionine.
• Effective carnitine synthesis requires the presence of sufficient amounts of iron, vitamin C, niacin (vitamin B3) and vitamin B6 as cofactors of the appropriate enzymes.
• Our body produces about 20-25 mg of carnitine every day, of which over 90% is used by the organs that obtain the necessary ATP energy in the process of burning fatty acids.
• The main dietary sources of carnitine are animal products: red meat, poultry, fish, and dairy products. Fruits and vegetables are not good sources of L-carnitine, so vegetarians and vegans are particularly susceptible to deficiencies.

Ingredients:  L-carnitine tartrate, glazing agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids.

Recommended daily dose:  1 capsule, preferably taken with a meal and plenty of water. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
