Skoczylas Heather honey, 400 g
honeyHoneyHeather honey is one of the noblest honeys available in Poland. The limited availability of this unique honey results from the moderate number of heathlands and the difficulties in obtaining it.
Heather honey has a tea-like colour, a pleasant heather aroma and a bitter-sweet taste. Honey in its liquid state has a characteristic, gelatinous form, and when it crystallizes, it acquires a thick and granular consistency.
Heather honey contains numerous active compounds, such as:
- B vitamins (folic acid, pantothenic acid, nicotinic acid)
- Vitamin A
- vitamin C
- iron
- magnesium
- calcium
- phosphorus
- flavonoids
Honey has a relatively high content of perfectly digestible protein, a slightly higher water content, and a lower sucrose content than other honeys.
Honey is an excellent sugar substitute and can be used to sweeten coffee, tea or desserts. It is also used as an ingredient of natural cosmetics such as ointments, masks and scrubs.
It is worth remembering that honey retains its valuable properties when we add it to dishes and drinks at a temperature lower than 55 °C
