Shiitake extract – What is it?

Shiitake mushrooms are popular in Far Eastern medicine and have been known there for centuries, and at some point also came to us, to Europe. In appearance, it somewhat resembles the mushroom that each of us is very familiar with. However, it is a completely different mushroom, although it also comes from the Agaricales fungal order. Its name comes from the Shii tree, on which it is often found in Asia. It has a very intense flavour.

Shiitake supports your diet thanks to the fact that it contains a lot of nutritional value, but also polysaccharides and beta-glucans, which are desirable in the products of this type, and their concentration determines product quality! Get to know Shiitake extract!

What properties does Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) have?

The properties of Shiitake are the object of ongoing research, although many studies are already showing some positive effects from their use. As we’ve already mentioned, Shiitake supports primarily your diet, by providing polysaccharides and beta-glucans. And beta-glucans are an important component that helps keep the proper level of cholesterol in the blood, and this allows you to take care of your circulatory system. Shiitake owes its properties to these very ingredients contained in these mushrooms. We’ve encapsulated all these benefits from Shiitake in capsules. For your convenience!

Our Shiitake extract has been enriched with a valuable ingredient, BioPerine®, and this gives Shiitake mushrooms properties that are valuable for digestion, skin, liver as well as nervous and immune system! Piperine contained in this extract is standardized to 95%.

Polysaccharides in Shiitake mushroom – How they work

When you look for the right Shiitake product, the extract should have a high standardization to the substances that are most valued in this type of product. Shiitake owes its effects to them.

Beta-glucans in Shiitake mushroom

High standardization to as much as 30% beta-glucans proves the high quality of our product. Standardization to polysaccharides alone says little. Because beta-glucans are the more important type of polysaccharides! Pointing out the high polysaccharide content without providing information on the standardization to beta-glucans may indicate that the value of such a Shiitake mushroom product is not high at all.
