"Pleasant to the taste - it does not pound with a slipper. Also good cold (in the form of Tereré)."

- Wojciech Cejrowski

In addition to its unique taste, mate also owes its success to numerous medicinal properties. It is very rich in antioxidants that help to strengthen your natural immunity .

This is possible thanks to the polyphenols found in the powdered leaves. In addition, yerba contains as many as 13 vitamins and important minerals such as magnesium and potassium.

It is said to improve reflexes and concentration thanks to "matein" which stimulates the nervous system.

This is a great way to replace energy drinks .

Yerba mate improves the work of the circulatory system by lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, and what's more, with additives such as mint and lemon, it just tastes delicious!

How to prepare mate? Kurupí MentaLimon

You can drink Mate all day long - at home, at work, on the street, with family or friends. Whatever the situation, you can drink yerba mate anytime, anywhere.

First, throw a generous batch of mate into the gourd - it's a traditional dish - to help the aromas unfold. Then you can add sugar, honey, spices (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, anise) to taste, and add more mint and lemon if you like.

Tilt the gourd slightly and create a hole where you can place the bombilla - a small metal straw that is used both for drinking and filtering out the leaves. Pour hot water into a small well and let the yerba mate mixture brew.

With every sip you will be surprised discovering different tastes and aromas - earthy, citrus, mint, woody, smoky.

Ingredients
Dust and finely chopped ground yerba mate leaves with a small addition:
  • large twigs of yerba mate (Paraguayan holly - Ilex paraguariensis ),
  • peppermint ( Mentha x piperita ),
  • lemon flavor .

Dust in yerba is important because it produces the most flavor and caffeine. The twigs, on the other hand, also play an important role - they prevent bombilla from clogging.

All herbs packaged for commercial purposes have dust. During transport, dust settles to the bottom, so you need to shake the package before opening it. The individual fractions (dust, leaves and small twigs) then mix evenly and the dust moves from the bottom to the top.

The Wojciech Cejrowski recommends yerba cans - after opening the package, you pour the yerba into the can with a dispenser and before each pouring a new portion into the dish, shake the can vigorously to mix everything like in a shaker.

The percentage of each fraction in yerba is regulated by national and company standards; must fall within specific ranges.
