PepZin GI is a combination of the mineral zinc and the aminopeptide L-carnosine, which provides protection for all areas of the stomach. The stomach lining is protected from the effects of corrosive gastric juices by a thin layer of gel-like mucus.
Evidence suggests that PepZin GI's combination of ingredients is not easily broken down by these pungent gastric juices, so it is able to strengthen the mucosal barrier by adhering to the stomach wall.
