ALLNUTRITION IRON SR is a dietary supplement in the form of extended-release capsules, based on a source of iron, folic acid and vitamins C, B6 and B12, dedicated to pregnant women. Iron helps in the proper production of red blood cells and hemoglobin and in the proper transport of oxygen in the body.

Vitamin C, in turn, increases the absorption of iron and helps protect cells against oxidative stress, and folate contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy.

Iron bisglycinate  is easily absorbed by the body. Chelating iron increases its bioavailability, which means the body can use this nutrient effectively. Additionally, iron bisglycinate is considered a safe compound and has a low toxic potential compared to other forms of iron, such as iron sulfate or iron oxide.

What are micropellets?

Micropellets are small microparticles "closed" in a capsule. Thanks to them, the substance from such preparations is released slowly and successively, which makes it possible to obtain and maintain the optimal concentration of the active substance for a longer time. We then prevent unfavorable (and often unpredictable) fluctuations in the level of active substances, making the entire dietary supplementation process very stable and effective.

Production of micropellets

The special cellulose coating used in the micropellets additionally protects the active substance. This coating is several dozen times thinner than sugar coating, but it plays the same role. It protects the active substances contained in the core against, e.g., light, oxygen, moisture, and provides the person taking the preparation with comfort in taking the supplement by making it easier to swallow and masking the unpleasant taste of the active substances.

In the case of quickly dissolving coatings, it is not possible to obtain the so-called modified release of the active substance. The effect of modified release - delayed (e.g. in the small intestine or slowed down along the entire length of the digestive tract), which determines the long-term effect, is only possible for coatings that are soluble in an alkaline environment or insoluble but have diffusion properties, i.e. micropellets.

Ingredients:  bulking agent: cellulose, starch, iron (ii) bisglycinate, capsule shell (gelatin), vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), bulking agent: hydroxypropylmethyl-cellulose, glazing agent: shellac, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin b12 (cyanocobalamin).

How to use:  Take a portion of the product (1 capsule) once a day, preferably during or after a meal, with water. Do not exceed 1 serving a day (1 capsule).
